A public reference library for the discipline of event investment. The whole system
Managing a company's events as a portfolio of investments: plan intent and budget, forecast outcomes, prove what happened, and score every event on one scale to guide future allocation.
Plan
Treating money spent on events as capital deployed for a return, not an expense to be minimized — the mental shift that makes forecasting, scoring, and portfolio allocation meaningful.
Forecast
Predicting what an event will produce before the spend is approved, so the decision to run it rests on an expected return rather than a hope — and the outcome can be marked against the prediction afterward.
Prove
The return an event generates — financial or strategic — relative to the investment required to run or attend it. The most useful version measures return against the intent set before the event, not one universal formula applied to every event.
Score
Reducing an event's planning, forecast accuracy, and proof to one comparable 0–100 number, weighted by intent, instead of reading a different ad-hoc metric for every event.
The standard
The goal is simple: define event investment so well, and so consistently, that this becomes the reference the whole discipline works from. One concept per page, one model connecting them, updated as the methodology grows.
